The senior year is full of excitement and important events.  Please use the timeline provided to stay informed about activities, meetings and critical deadlines leading up to graduation.

We have also included quick links to important resources.  

September
  • 17: 1st Senior Meeting during Tornado Time (9:55-10:20 a.m.)
  • TBD: Seniors can begin ordering a cap and gown
  • 27: Homecoming

October

  • 5: Senior Cap and Gown Discount Deadline
  • 8: CARE Night
  • TBD: Picture Retake Day
  • 13: Thurston County College Fair at St. Martin’s University 5:30-7:30 p.m.
  • 16: College Fair at Tacoma Community College 6-8 p.m.
  • 18: National College Fair in Seattle 12-4 p.m. at the Seattle Convention Center

November

  • TBD: Yelm Youth of the Year Application Opens
  • 11: Veterans’ Day - No School
  • 18: Financial Learning in Progress @ 5:00-7:00 PM
  • TBD: Yelm Youth of the Year Application Due
  • 24 - 26: Conferences - Half Days
  • 27 - 28: Thanksgiving Break - No School

December

  • 5: Deadline to purchase Senior Ads
  • 5: Deadline to submit your senior picture and quote
  • 22: Winter Break Begins - No School

January

  • 5: School Resumes
  • 19: Martin Luther King Jr Day - No School
  • 23: End of 1st Semester - Half Day
  • 31: Order cap and gown by 1/31/26 without a price increase. https://www.jostens.com/

February

  • 16: Presidents’ Day - No School
  • 25: Senior Meeting During Tornado Time (9:55 - 10:20)
  • 28: Dollars for Scholars Application Due

March

April

  • 1-3: Student Led Conferences
  • 6-10: Spring Break
  • 13: School Resumes
  • 15: Senior Meeting During Tornado Time (9:55 - 10:20)
  • TBD: Cap and Gown-Orders placed by March 1 can be picked up from 12:00-3:00

May

  • TBD: National Decision Day  Recognize? 
  • TBD: Jostens Cap and Gown Delivery-Pick up in the Front Office
  • 20: Senior Meeting During Tornado Time (9:55 - 10:20)

June

  • 2: Community Scholarship Night
  • 3: Senior Meeting During Tornado Time (No Late Start 9:15 - 9:40)
  • TBD:  Senior Packets Distributed

  • TBD:  Senior Check Out Forms Distributed 
  • TBD: Senior Checkout Sheet Due/Last Day for Seniors
  • 4: Grad Walk
  • 4: Moving UP Assembly
  • 4: Senior Sunset
  • 4: District Awards Night
  • 5: Senior Breakfast-Moose Lodge 7:30 AM/Grad Practice YHS PAC 9:30 AM
  • 7: Graduation (tentative) at the Tacoma Dome @ 9:30 AM. Students should arrive at 8:00 AM.  Doors open to the public at 8:30 AM
